This being my 5th time (at least!) writing a "first post", I should be pretty good at it, right?

*buzzer*  Wrong. 

How shall I begin?  Ah well, fatigue is limiting my options, so let's keep it simple.

I never saw a reason to move into LJ before, as I already had blogs with xanga and blogspot.  However, after having discovered the LJ friends and communities system recently, I've decided to sign up.

Mm... am still only sitting at the edge, dipping my toes in to test the water, but don't worry -- once I'm ready I'll dive right in.  And that won't be long from now.
